"I
can think of few individuals who embrace the full meaning of
the word “creativity” more than Dana DeLong. I have
been both a personal friend and professional collaborator with
Dana for more than 5 years. I can state without reservation
that my time with her has been a joyful and expansive learning
experience.
As a performer, Dana embodies a Yogic presence that brings balance
and buoyant energy to every event she plays. In the true spirit
of a musical luminary, she is profoundly committed to her music
and still delightfully playful. I have seen her hold ceremonial
space for a large crowd of devout spiritual people, as well
as jump out in to the excited crowd with her flute at a Friday
night dance party.
At Studio Rasa, my former community arts and wellness center,
I hosted Dana’s Dharma Rose to a highly receptive crowds.
She led both the audience and the other musicians on a wonderful
journey accented by her melodic voice. Dana creates a beautiful
presence in body and soul, and a musical tapestry with her
music."
